The Nutcracker
‘Tis the weekend to see The Nutcracker Ballet in Loudoun with three different productions happening around the county. The Loudoun Ballet Performing Arts production is Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Loudoun Valley High School in Purcellville. Studio Bleu Dance Center puts on two performances on Saturday at Stone Bridge High School in Ashburn. And on Saturday and Sunday, the Sterling Ballet Company performs at Dominion High School in Sterling. Boys and girls alike will enjoy this quintessential holiday performance complete with stunning choreography, beautiful music, and lively battle scenes.


Christmas in Purcellville
Celebrate the weekend in Purcellville with some good old fashioned holiday fun. Enjoy face painting, crafts, pictures with santa, and the enormous LEGO display all day Saturday at the Bush Tabernacle. The Train Station will be bustling Saturday with ornament decorating from 10 a.m.-2:30 p.m. and pictures with Santa from 1:30-3 p.m. Don’t forget your camera! The Christmas Parade starts at noon with floats and participants from local organizations, clubs, teams, and businesses and of course Jolly Old Saint Nick himself. Friday and Sunday night hop aboard the trolly for a tour of the lights throughout the town.

Santa Lands in a Helicopter
That’s right, a HELICOPTER! Be the cool parent that takes your kids to see Santa land in a whirlybird. Santa lands at the Virginia Village in Leesburg at 10am. Grab photos with Santa and the kids can pick out a free gift for mom and dad in the kids-only store. The Leesburg Farmer’s Market will be open for business and there will be food trucks, holiday cookies, cider, and hot chocolate.


Udvar Hazy 15th Anniversary Celebration
From 10am-3pm this Saturday celebrate all things air and space at the Udvar Hazy 15th Anniversary party. Live music, button making, storytimes, TechQuest, presentations, Mars Experience Bus Rides, and more make this a super fun event for the entire family. Bonus – Parking is free all day!
