Famous Toastery: Calling All Breakfast Lovers

Breakfast places are exciting for me. For too long there had been a gap in Loudoun breakfast options. On one hand you had Anitas… and on the other you had high-end brunches. Weekday options were limited to coffee and a scone. And then came Famous Toastery. Filling the spot in my heart, not to mention my belly, for a great breakfast or brunchy lunch.

The classics are all here and prepared well. Lumberjacks will want to hit the western omelet with ham, peppers and onions and cheese, or go for the biscuits and gravy – these are big portions. The kids will want something sweet, but you’ll clean their plate, especially if they’ve ordered the superb stuffed French toast with strawberries and cream cheese, or the chocolate chip flapjacks. Other favorites included the shrimp and grits, the Florentine eggs benedict, a righteous corned beef Rueben and a fruity California salad topped with shrimp.

Famous Toastery is a franchise but it’s hard to tell, with super-involved local owners and an incredible shared-service team (some of whom drive from as far away as Hamilton to work there) who are eager to please and careful about special orders. Open from 7 a.m. – 3 p.m. daily, Famous Toastery **occasionally** does breakfast-for-dinner fundraisers for local schools and community causes. I’ve also heard, though not experienced first-hand, that their catering is lunch done right.

Famous Toastery is located at 43780 Central Station Dr #150, Ashburn, VA or find them online at Famoustoastery.com.
