Cocktail Convos: The Conche
Imagine this! A lavender to pink, color changing cocktail: The Chameleon! After a few gentle spins around the cotton candy machine, a giant fluffy nest of crystallized sugar is ready to perch atop a martini glass. Through the fluff, a steady hand pours a special concoction of rum and butterfly tea that settles into a lavender swirl. A suspenseful pause before a test tube of secret potion, just a drop morphs the lavender into bright pink. One sip refreshes with a kiss of fresh lemonade. A second sip deposits a dot of spun sugar on your nose, eliciting a smile from its maker, General Manager Samet Yuksekgonul.
True, there’s not a drop of chocolate in sight – a bit of a surprise for The Conche, which bills itself as a chocolate boutique restaurant. Now, we can enjoy the same unique flair and technique of The Conche’s exquisite food as it reaches into the new Conche cocktail menu – both classics and seasonal specials.
